Ukrainian Football Association condemns UEFA's decision to return Russian Under-17 teams to international competitions
The Ukrainian Football Association has condemned UEFA's decision to allow Under-17 teams from Russia to return to international competitions and called on other associations to boycott matches with Russian players.
The UFA published this statement on its website.
The UFA will not take part in any competitions involving Russian teams and appeals to other UEFA member associations to boycott possible matches involving teams from Russia if they are admitted.
"The adoption of such decisions regarding the gradual return of teams from the Russian Federation to participate in competitions amid military operations waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine is unjustified and tolerates Russia's aggressive policy," the Association said in a statement.
Therefore, the Ukrainian Football Association calls on UEFA to reconsider this decision and leave in force the previous decision to completely suspend any teams from Russia from participating in international competitions.
It will be recalled that the UEFA Executive Committee has allowed Russian Under-17 teams to participate in official international competitions this season. Russian teams will play without their flag and anthem. The English Football Association opposed this decision.
