Russia slows down grain exports from Ukraine due to delays in inspections in the Bosporus

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports that the obstacle in the work of the Grain Initiative remains the inhibition of Russia's inspection of ships in the Bosporus Strait under various pretexts.

A stable queue of more than 90 ships has formed to pass the inspection. The consequence is millions of losses for cargo owners and a decrease in exports of at least 5-6 thousand tons during the year.

As of December 27, ninety-six vessels are waiting for inspection. Only six out of ten planned vessels are inspected daily.
