Romania steps up protection measures in the area bordering Ukraine

Romania is stepping up protection measures in the Romanian districts near the Ukrainian ports of Reni and Izmail.

The Romanian media outlet Digi24 reported this.

Residents will receive Ro-Alert notifications in case of a threat of falling "elements related to munitions."

County emergency inspectorates will also inform the population how to act in the event of the fall of Russian weaponry in their area.

Shelters will be built in the towns of Plauru and Ceatalchioi, as well as other locations.

It will be recalled that during Russia's night attack on the port of Izmail on September 4, Russian drones crashed and detonated on the territory of Romania.

Romanian Defence Minister Angel Tîlvăr confirmed that the wreckage of a Russian drone had fallen on the country's territory.

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has said that if the wreckage of a Russian drone is confirmed to have fallen on Romanian territory, it would be considered a violation of his country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
