IMF launches Capacity Building Facility for Ukraine
The International Monetary Fund has announced the launch of a Capacity Building Fund for Ukraine. It will cover the needs of implementing Ukraine's capacity development and reform plan.
Andrii Pyshnyy, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, announced this.
Previous IMF memoranda state that the main focus will be on maintaining Ukraine's macroeconomic, external and financial stability.
Priorities include international financial assistance, reforming the Ukrainian economy and strengthening the institutional capacity of the authorities.
The fund aims to raise $65 million. Foreign donors have already allocated $14 million.
"Our meeting today is not just a manifestation of solidarity with Ukraine. It is a readiness to strengthen step by step the stability and development of Ukraine's financial system, our European integration aspirations and ability to withstand the consequences of military aggression," Pyshnyy wrote.
