Government approves new procedure for exporting selected products to certain EU member states
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new procedure for exporting four types of products to certain EU member states.
This was announced by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi.
From now on, corn, rapeseed, sunflower and wheat exported to five countries must be licensed by the Ministry of Economy in agreement with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
"[Ukraine will] agree with the European Commission and importing countries on the required list and volume of agricultural products from the four crops, and they, in turn, determine whether they are ready to accept these crops, when and in what volumes. Only then do we issue permits to our companies to export certain products," Solskyi said.
It will be recalled that Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine had filed a formal claim in the WTO against Poland, Hungary and Slovakia but at the same time offered a compromise.
