"Armoured Vehicle Coalition" for Ukraine is launched in Warsaw, the capital of Poland
Warsaw, Poland (Svidomi) — An "armoured vehicle coalition" for Ukraine has been launched in Poland, the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence reports.
The first meeting of the countries participating in the coalition took place on March 26.
Together with Poland, Germany initiated the creation of the association. Britain, Italy, and Sweden supported it.
The coalition will create four syndicates responsible for the following tasks: supply of weapons and ammunition, maintenance and repair, training of crew and technicians, and development of effective tactics on the battlefield.
"The Armoured Vehicle Coalition aims to strengthen the armoured shield of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, to jointly enhance the capabilities of our army in the fight against the Russian aggressor, to ensure the effective operation, maintenance and repair of the equipment and weapons provided by our allies," said Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, who headed the Ukrainian delegation at the meeting.
It is planned to create an armoured fleet of vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the Tank Coalition and the Armoured Vehicle Coalition.
It will be recalled that in February 2024, the UK and Latvia led a drone coalition. The group includes Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia, and the Netherlands. Australia joined in March.
In February, it was also announced that a coalition of Ukraine's allies had been formed to supply medium- and long-range missiles.
