Fragments of a drone likely used to attack Ukraine found in Romania.

Romania (Svidomi) — The fragments, which are most likely drone debris, were found on the evening of March 28 on the agricultural land of the island of Insula Mare a Brailei.

"Fragments that are likely to have come from an aircraft (drone) have been found on a plot of farmland on the Big Island of Brailei," the statement said.

The military is currently conducting an investigation.

According to Digi24, several military search teams were sent to the island. Locals heard "sounds that were similar to an explosion".

It will be recalled that on September 4, during the attack on the port of Izmail, Russian drones crashed and detonated in Romania. Minister of Foreign Affairs Kuleba said that Ukraine had photographic evidence of the crash of Russian drones in Romania.

At first, Romania denied this information, but on September 6, the country's defence minister acknowledged the fall of objects that were likely to be Russian drone debris.

Afterwards, President Klaus Iohannis said that if the wreckage of a Russian drone was confirmed to have fallen on Romanian territory, it would be considered a violation of his country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

On September 9, the wreckage of another Russian drone was found in Romania near the city of Plauru.

In late September, Romania investigated another possible violation of its airspace.
