Zelenskyy to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a meeting.
This was announced by the Embassy of Israel in Kyiv.
The meeting will take place during the UN General Assembly in New York,
"Immediately after the end of the Jewish New Year, Benjamin Netanyahu will fly to the United States to address the UN General Assembly (22 September - ed.) and hold a series of bilateral meetings. Among the scheduled meetings is a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy," the statement reads.
This will be the first meeting between Zelenskyy and Netanyahu since the start of the full-scale invasion.
The embassy adds that Netanyahu has been harshly criticised for being perhaps the only leader of a democratic country who has not dared to visit Kyiv.
Earlier, it became known that Volodymyr Zelenskyy would meet with Polish President Duda at the UN General Assembly.
