Zaporizhzhia NPP is completely de-energized due to Russian shelling — the Ukrainian Energoatom
On November 2, Russian shelling damaged the nuclear power plant's last two high-voltage communication lines with the Ukrainian power system. At 23:04, the station switched to full blackout mode; all 20 diesel generators were switched on.
Currently, the power supply scheme for ZNPP's needs is optimised, and nine diesel generators are working. Power units 5 and 6, which were in a hot state, are transferred to a cold state.
There are only 15 days of reserve diesel supply for the operation of generators in the mode of complete de-energization of ZNPP.
Energoatom notes that the shelling of the last two high-voltage communication lines of Zaporizhzhia NPP with the power system of Ukraine is an attempt of the Russian Federation to reconnect the nuclear power plant to the Russian power system.
