Yellow Ribbon activists unfurl Ukrainian flag in temporarily occupied Crimea
CRIMEA, Ukraine (Svidomi) — The Yellow Ribbon resistance movement has unfurled the Ukrainian flag on Pakhkal-Kaya mountain in the temporarily occupied Crimea (Qırım). Russia illegally annexed the peninsula in 2014.
"Today, the symbol of Ukraine is flying over Crimea, and very soon, with our joint efforts, we will decorate the entire peninsula with blue and yellow flags. Happy Unity Day, Ukraine!"

Yellow Ribbon is a resistance movement in the temporarily occupied territories of southern and eastern Ukraine. The activists united in April 2022 in response to a full-scale Russian attack in February 2022.
The activists collect information on the movements of the Russian military and pass it on to Ukraine. They also spread truthful information about Russia's war against Ukraine in the temporarily occupied territories, where Russia has restricted access to the internet and information.
The symbol of the movement is a yellow ribbon, which activists hang in occupied towns and villages to remind the Russian military of Ukraine's sovereignty and the fact that the occupation of these territories is temporary.
It will be recalled that on January 22, Ukraine marks the Day of Unity, timed to the proclamation of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic in 1919 (105 years ago).
