Water in ZNPP cooling pond remains at sufficient level - IAEA Director General, after visiting the plant

The water level in the cooling pond used by the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP remains at a sufficient level to allow the plant to operate safely.

This was announced by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi after his visit to the plant.

The water level in the Kakhovka Reservoir has dropped due to the Russians' explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. The reservoir was used by Zaporizhzhia NPP to cool its reactors.

Rafael Grossi reports that the water remains at a sufficient level, so the plant can operate safely "for some time". The IAEA will monitor the water level in the ZNPP cooling pond.
