Vladimir Putin holds a meeting on the damage to the Crimean bridge

The Russian president held a meeting on the damage to the Crimean bridge.

Russian propaganda media reported this.

He instructed Russia's special agencies to investigate the case and promised to "respond" to the attack, noting that the Ministry of Defence is already preparing suggestions.

"Given that this is the second terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge, I am waiting for specific proposals to improve the security of this strategically important transport facility," the Russian president said.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said that one railway track was slightly damaged, and one part of the span towards Keriç (Kerch) was completely destroyed. According to him, the bridge supports are not damaged.

It will be recalled that on the night of July 17, traffic on the Crimean bridge was stopped due to an "emergency." The Russian Ministry of Transport reported allegedly damaged roadways on the spans of the Crimean bridge.
