UNESCO report: 274 cultural heritage sites suffered damage in Ukraine
UNESCO has published an updated report on damaged cultural monuments in Ukraine.
This is stated on the organisation's website.
As of July 26, 2023, the organisation has confirmed 274 damaged sites since February 24, 2022.
In particular, 117 religious sites, 27 museums, 98 buildings of historical and/or artistic interest, 19 monuments, 12 libraries and one archive.
Most of the damage was done in:
Chernihiv — 17 sites;
Kyiv and the region — 38 sites;
Kharkiv region — 55 sites;
Zaporizhzhia region — 12 sites;
Donetsk region — 78 objects;
Luhansk region — 33 objects;
Sumy region — 12 sites;
Mykolaiv region — eight sites;
Vinnytsia region — two facilities;
Kherson region — six facilities;
Lviv and Dnipro regions — one facility each.
