UNESCO mission arrives in Odesa to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused by Russian missile strikes

"The work has begun. The mission will record the consequences of the Russian attacks and document everything," said Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.

As a reminder, on the night of July 23, Russians fired five types of missiles at Odesa. The Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Cathedral, the House of Scientists and Zhvanetskyi Boulevard sustained damage.

In addition to significant damage to the building, Orthodox shrines were damaged in the Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi Cathedral: the wonderworking Kasperov Icon of the Mother of God, the patron saint of Odesa, was pulled out of the rubble.

Almost all the stained glass windows in the House of Scientists were smashed, and antique furniture was damaged.
