On August 7, the Head of the UNESCO Office recommended adding St Sophia Cathedral, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, and the historic centre of Lviv to the World Heritage List, as culture is "of great importance and affects the resilience of a nation in times of war."
The meeting also discussed support for Ukraine, including international assistance from the Fund for emergency measures.
"This will take into account the preliminary findings of the UNESCO International Expert Mission to assess the damage to cultural and religious sites in Odesa," the Ministry of Culture reports.
It will be recalled that in January, UNESCO added the historic centre of Odesa to the World Heritage List.
