UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on human rights violations in the temporarily occupied Crimea

82 countries voted "for" this decision, 14 "against" it, and 80 "abstained."

The document condemns Russia's use of the territory of Crimea for the occupation of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, a new wave of detentions and illegal transfers of people from and to temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as the filtering procedures.

In addition, the UN General Assembly demands the annulment of Russia's decision to declare the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people an extremist organization and ban its activities.

Belarus, China, Cuba, North Korea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mali, Nicaragua, Russia, Sudan, Syria, and Zimbabwe voted against the resolution.
