UN Commission confirms that Russia committed war crimes in Ukraine
During the investigation of the events from late February to March in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Sumy regions, the Commission found a series of war crimes, human rights and international humanitarian law violations.
"Given the seriousness of the violations found, there is an undeniable need for accountability," the Commission stated.
The Commission documented cases of extrajudicial executions, illegal deprivation of liberty, torture and ill-treatment, rape and other sexual violence in the territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
