Ukrainian Railways is launching a train between Lviv and Warsaw

Ukrainian Railways has launched a train between Lviv and Warsaw via the hub station Rava-Ruska.

The journey time from Lviv to Warsaw takes about 9 hours, and the ticket price starts at UAH 1188.

In Ukraine, the train route runs through the stations of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Stryi, Kolomyia, Kalush, Bryukhovychi, and Zhovkva.

At the Rava-Ruska station, passengers have to transfer to a train of the Polish carrier and travel to Lublin or Warsaw.

Trains can carry about 200 passengers per one-way journey. You can choose 1st or 2nd class seats.

"The effectiveness of such logistics has been proven by the Kyiv - Chełm - Warsaw route, which has almost 100% passenger occupancy. For the first week of this train (Lviv - Rava-Ruska - Warsaw - ed.), 70% of the tickets offered have already been sold," said Yevhen Liashchenko, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Ukrainian Railways.

He noted that they plan to launch the Chop-Prague international train in the near future, and that Ukrainian Railways is also working on the Przemyśl-Berlin route.
