Ukrainian pilots to start F-16 training in August

Pilots of the Ukrainian Air Force will begin training on F-16 fighter jets in Denmark in August 2023.

This was reported by the Associated Press, citing acting Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

The training will last from six to eight months.

It is expected that two groups will initially begin training. The training will involve 10-12 pilots and support staff.

In total, Denmark expects 30-40 Ukrainians to take part in the training.

As a reminder, Ukraine and 11 coalition countries signed a memorandum on the provision of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine
