Ukrainian border guards shoot down a Russian attack aircraft in the sky over Bakhmut — the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

Preliminarily, an SU-25 aircraft was shot down, covering Russian infantry advancing on the Ukrainian defence line from the air. 

A missile, fired by a border guard from a man-portable air defence system, caused the attack aircraft to catch fire and crash.

The fate of the Russian pilot is currently unknown.
