Ukrainian Air Force shoots down all 30 Russian attack UAVs overnight

On the night of August 6-7, the Ukrainian Air Force detected and shot down 30 Shahed attack drones. The UAVs were shot down over the Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kharkiv, and Cherkasy regions.

In the Khmelnytskyi region in the west of Ukraine, the wreckage of the downed UAVs damaged storage tanks and a production facility at a manufacturing plant in the region.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russian army attacked Nikopol and the communities of Pokrovske, Myrove, Marhanets, and Chervonohryhorivka. Russia used kamikaze drones, heavy artillery, and Grad multiple rocket launchers. 

A fire department, an outpatient clinic, a kindergarten, 15 private houses, ten outbuildings, a car, solar panels, an agricultural company, an excavator, a gas pipeline, and power lines were damaged. Three people got injured.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the communities of Mykolaivka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Znob-Novhorod, Nova Sloboda, Druzhba, and Seredyna-Buda.

Six private houses, an outbuilding, a preschool, and two cars were damaged.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russian army attacked Hremiach, Buchky, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Tymonovychi, Leonivka, and Semenivka.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russian army launched 564 attacks on Huliaipole, Dolynka, Lysohirka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Poltavka, and Levadne.

Fourteen residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were destroyed. Two people were killed, and one was injured. 

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline, the Russians attacked Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Toretsk, Ukrainsk, Ivanopillia, Kleban-Byk, Markove, Novyi Komar, Predtechyne, and Uspenivka. In total, 2868 hits were recorded. 

Thirty-three residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, gas pipelines, power lines and a car were damaged. Twelve people got injured.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians continue to shell Makiivka and Nevske.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russian army shelled Ochakiv and the community of Kutsurub. An attack by an FPV drone and the downing of a UAV by the Ukrainian Air Force resulted in dry grass fires in open areas in the Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts. There were no casualties.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia to the east, the Russians attacked Kharkiv, Kozacha Lopan, Ivashky, and Kupiansk. Non-residential premises, an outpatient centre, residential buildings, garages, 26 vehicles, an outbuilding and a summer kitchen were damaged. 

Six people were injured.

In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, Russia shelled Kherson, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Stanislav, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, and Tomaryne. 

An educational institution, an administrative building, three multi-storey buildings, five private houses, a gas pipeline, and private and official cars were damaged. Sixteen people were injured, and one person died.
