Ukraine sends notes to Poland and the EU on the unacceptability of blocking exports of Ukrainian agricultural products

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states such actions contradict the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement - Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko.

Ukraine called on its partners to find a balanced solution in the spirit of solidarity and on the basis of existing legislation.

Nikolenko also announced that the notes were sent on April 28.

On April 28, the European Commission reached an agreement with Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland, Romania and Hungary on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine. Previously, these countries had blocked or restricted them.

The European Commission's Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis said that the Union would impose "exceptional safeguard measures" on Ukrainian wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds. The content of these measures is still unknown.
