Ukraine returns two children from the temporarily occupied territory — Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets

The request to return the children came from a woman who had been in Russian captivity.

A 9-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy are now in the government-controlled territory with their family.

Mr Lubinets notes this was possible due to the interaction between the two Ombudsmen of Ukraine and Russia.

The Ombudsman called on relatives, parents, guardians, and grandparents whose children are in the territory of the Russian Federation or the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine to contact the Ombudsman's Office to return their children.
