Ukraine has returned the commanders of the Mariupol garrison from Türkiye: Denys Prokopenko, Sviatoslav Palamar, Serhii Volynskyi, Oleh Khomenko and Denys Shleha
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
They were in Türkiye after being released from Russian captivity on September 21, 2022.
They were taken into Russian captivity after they left the territory of the Azovstal plant in May 2022 on the orders of the highest military and political command.
