Ukraine evacuates its citizens from Gaza Strip and Israel

The first evacuation flight from Israel to Romania will take place on October 14. The Embassy has already provided 200 tickets for this flight from Israel.

This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel, Yevhen Korniichuk.

He noted that about a thousand people had sought help in Israel. In total, there are about 15,000 Ukrainian citizens registered with the consular authorities in Israel.

According to the ambassador, Ben Gurion Airport operates on a regular basis, but due to the rush, ticket prices have increased.

"As an embassy, we provide assistance to the most vulnerable categories of the population: citizens who were undergoing treatment, citizens with children who came temporarily, tourists whose flights were cancelled and were unable to leave," Korniichuk said.

Currently, 160 Ukrainian citizens are on evacuation lists from Gaza, but their number is growing. Korniіchuk noted that Ukraine would try to evacuate as many of its citizens as possible from the Palestinian territory on Thursday and Friday.

It will be recalled that Foreign Ministry spokesman Nikolenko confirmed the death of another Ukrainian in Israel.

The total reported death toll among Ukrainian citizens is three. Nine Ukrainians were injured, and six more are missing.
