The water level in Kherson has already dropped by over 3 metres, but more than 30 de-occupied settlements are still flooded

The flood caused by the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP continues to subside.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources reported this.

In Kherson, the water level is decreasing by 1-3 cm per hour. Despite this, there are still flooded settlements on the right bank of the Kherson region. More than 3,000 people are still underwater.

The destruction of the HPP and the floods have harmed national parks in the Dnipro basin. Their areas are shrinking. In Kamianska Sich nature reserve, the water level dropped by 10 metres.
