The USA deprived the Russian Federation of the market economy status
The US Department of Commerce reports this.
The Ministry has adopted a law that will allow imposing significantly higher import duties on Russia. In addition, the corresponding changes may lead to an increase in fees on some types of imports from the Russian Federation, which will, in particular, make it more difficult for Russian companies to sell steel and aluminum in the United States.
According to the analysis of the Department of Commence, the Russian Federation government distorted the expenses' prices through manual control. This, in turn, led to inaccuracies in determining whether Russian companies were pricing imports into the United States reasonably.
Russia became the 12th in the list of countries that the US classifies as countries with a non-market economy to calculate the antidumping duties. The list also includes countries like China, Vietnam, Belarus, Moldova, and Georgia.
