The USA and Ukraine will launch a pilot project for the construction of a small modular nuclear reactor

The US Department of State reports this.

US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry and Ukraine's Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko announced the "Ukraine Clean Fuels from SMRs" project.

Using a Small Modular Nuclear Reactor (SMR) and advanced electrolysis technology, pure hydrogen and ammonia will be produced.

In particular, the project is aimed at supporting Ukraine's energy security.
