The United States will not provide Ukraine with F-16 combat aircraft — US President Joe Biden and White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby

Biden answered a journalist's question about whether the United States would provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets with a "no" answer. But, according to Voice of America journalist Ostap Yarysh, the US President "got out of the helicopter, briefly approached the press and did not particularly clarify his answer."

John Kirby, in a commentary to CNN, supported Biden's decision and instead focused on other assistance that the United States is providing and will continue to provide: "The decision on the tanks (Abrams - ed.) was designed to help Ukraine get ahead of the fighting that we think everybody will see when spring comes. So it was one of those cases where we are trying to predict the types of needs that Ukraine will need."

On January 30, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, said that in coordination with NATO, Poland was ready to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets.  Also, French President Emmanuel Macron does not rule out supplying Ukraine with fighter jets if the Ukrainian army needs them, and it does not lead to an escalation.
