The UK plans to train over 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers by the end of 2023

British Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris has announced the UK's plans to train more than 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers by the end of 2023.

Among those undergoing training are military personnel of various qualifications, including pilots.

"The first pilots arrived in the UK for training a month ago... Even before the full-scale invasion, we had a very powerful programme. Over 20,000 soldiers were in the Operation Orbital programme before the full-scale invasion. And now it's even more," Harris said in the interview.

In addition, the Ambassador noted that Ukraine's integration into the Alliance is moving at a rapid pace.

"The process is going very fast because now the Ukrainian military is using equipment and adapting to UK standards, to the standards of other NATO member states," the diplomat said.

It will be recalled that Ukrainian pilots have started learning English in the United States in preparation for flying F-16s.
