The total value of Russian assets blocked in Germany is EUR 5.3 billion

Germany will publish more detailed information after the Central Office for Sanctions Enforcement is finally established — the Federal Ministry of Finance at the request of Welt am Sonntag. 

This amount includes the assets of the sanctioned persons and the Russian central bank. At the same time, the ministry did not say what share of these assets belongs to Russian oligarchs. 

The Central Office for the Application of Sanctions will publish more detailed information about this property. Unfortunately, this has yet to happen, as the body is still in the process of being established.

Instead, more than €19 billion has been frozen in the Swiss bank Credit Suisse alone. The total value of Russian assets in Switzerland is at least EUR 46 billion.
