The Russian soldier, who allegedly participated in the occupation of Bucha, left for Europe — the Russian human rights project Gulagu.net.

Nikita Chibrin says he wants to contribute to the trial of the Russian Federation and claims that he did not kill anyone. He served in the military unit 51460, which is the location of the 64th motorized rifle brigade of the Russian army. This brigade occupied the Kyiv region, in particular, it is suspected of war crimes in Bucha. 

The Russian claims that he got to Ukraine by deception and worked in the rear positions, so he did not kill or torture anyone. Russian human rights activists have not been able to establish Chibrin's involvement in the murders of Ukrainians.  

In June, he secretly returned to Russia, from where, with the support of human rights activists, he went to Kazakhstan, and later to Spain, where he sought asylum.

According to Russian human rights activists, law enforcement agencies began to visit his relatives.
