The President of Croatia has blocked the participation of the country's Armed Forces in the EU training mission for Ukraine

In the explanation of this decision, Zoran Milanović claims that the participation of the Croatian military in the mission is allegedly "incomprehensible and unjustified."

He said that the draft decision on the participation of the Croatian Armed Forces in the mission does not specify either the activities that will be carried out by the Croatian army, nor the actions and measures that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will carry out on the territory of Croatia.

Another reason for the refusal is that Ukraine is not formally included in the list of Croatia's allies, whose troops can undergo training and stay on the country's territory.
