The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation threatens to shoot down satellites of Western countries used by Ukraine

Reuters refers to the speech of the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Konstantin Vorontsov, during the meeting of the first committee of the UN General Assembly.

The Deputy Director of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control, Konstantin Vorontsov, called the use of civilian infrastructure components in space, in particular commercial, by the US and its allies to help Ukraine against the background of a full-scale Russian invasion, a "dangerous trend".

"Quasi-civilian infrastructure may prove to be a legitimate target for retaliatory strikes," a Russian ministry official said.
