The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York begins to consider artists Ivan Aivazovskyi and Ilia Repin Ukrainians — the museum's website

Previously, the museum referred to them as Russians. 

The page about the artist Ivan Aivazovskyi was last archived on February 6. Back then, the museum still considered Aivazovskyi a Russian. 

Instead, the last available copy of Repin's page was made on December 23, 2022. It also states that Repin is Russian. 

However, the museum lists both artists as Ukrainians.
