The Jerusalem Post includes Yevgeny Prigozhin in the list of 50 influential Jews
The Jerusalem Post has included Yevgeny Prigozhin in the list of 50 Most Influential Jews out of turn.
This is reported by the publication.
The publication notes Prigozhin's "path to wealth and fame" and "short-lived rebellion against the Putin regime". The Wagner PMC's armed march on Moscow in June was "the most extensive insurrection in all of Putin’s 23-year rule".
The journalists believe that the origin of Prigozhin's father would entitle him to repatriation, so they included him in this year's list.
The list also includes Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich and Wall Street Journal journalist Evan Gershkovich.
It will be recalled that on August 23, a plane carrying the owner of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, allegedly crashed in the Tver region of Russia. Russia has refused to investigate the crash of the plane carrying Yevgeny Prigozhin in accordance with international rules.
