The European Union to deliver the first batch of solar panels to Ukraine

Ukraine will soon receive 5700 panels.

The European Commission reported it.

In early February 2023, during the 24th Ukraine-EU summit, the parties discussed plans to launch a solar energy generation program in Ukraine.

The first batch of solar panels will be supplied by the largest Italian energy company Enel. The total capacity of these panels is around 2 megawatts.

The increase in solar energy will allow for greater decentralization of the Ukrainian energy system, which will strengthen Ukraine's stability against Russian missile strikes, explained the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko.
