The EU has transferred almost 224,000 artillery shells to Ukraine

The EU has transferred 223,800 artillery shells and 2,300 missiles of various types to Ukraine.
This was stated by EU spokesperson Peter Stano, DW reports.
"Member states have delivered around 223,800 artillery ammunition – long-range self-propelled, precision-guided [munitions] as well as mortar [munitions] – and 2,300 missiles of all types," Stano said.
In total, the EU plans to donate one million of these munitions.
In order to produce more shells and deliver them to Ukraine faster, the European Parliament backed a draft bill.
