The Crimean Tatar flag is banned in schools in temporarily occupied Qırım
The Russian occupation administration has banned raising the Crimean Tatar flag in schools in the temporarily occupied Qırım.
Crimea SOS reported this.
Schools were also banned from planning certain events, such as the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crimean Tatar Genocide on May 18.
A special commission will work in Crimean Tatar schools on the eve of the memorial dates, as planning such events will be considered as preparation for provocations.
According to the organisation, the Russians did not give a written order for such a ban, but "administration representatives" visited the schools, i.e. sent by the so-called "head" of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov.
