The couple suspected of murdering a Ukrainian woman and kidnapping her child are Russians

Germany (Svidomi) — According to German media, the two suspects in the murder of a 27-year-old Ukrainian woman and the abduction of her child are a Russian couple. Police are still looking for the mother of the Ukrainian woman.

The police tracked down the newborn using a photograph. The child was taken away from her abductors. The suspects were a couple of Russians, aged 43 and 44. They have already been questioned in court and sent to prison.

The grandmother of the 5-week-old baby is still being searched for.

As it became known, the murdered Ukrainian woman lived in Kharkiv and came to Germany from Slovakia. The women lived in a refugee camp. An unknown woman from Walldorf offered to help the Ukrainians with their German documents on social media. It is not known whether the woman from Walldorf is a suspected Russian.

Earlier, the Mannheim police took the child to the hospital without any injuries for preventive care. A DNA comparison confirms that she is the daughter of the murdered woman. She is now in the care of a youth centre.
