Ten people injured and one killed in Russian shelling over the past 24 hours

On the night of June 2, the Russians attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-K cruise missile, an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and 25 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs. During the night, Ukrainian defenders destroyed 24 Shaheds in the Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Vinnytsia regions.

In the Kharkiv region in the south of Ukraine, which has been partially occupied since 2022, the Russians shelled the Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Izium districts. In Chaikivka, two women were injured as a result of shelling with guided aerial bombs. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. In the morning, the Russians attacked Andriivka with guided aerial bombs. A residential building was damaged. A man and a woman were injured. 

In the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army attacked the districts of Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut. One person was killed in Ptyche. Five others were wounded in Lyman. Residential and administrative buildings were damaged. Evacuations from the front line continue. 

Over the past day, the Russians attacked Antonivka, Sadove, Tokarivka, Oleksandrivka, Beryslav, Mylove, Chervonyi Maiak, Olhivka, Kherson and other localities in the Kherson region. The Russians launched a missile attack on the Velyka Oleksandrivka community. Residential buildings, administrative buildings, and medical facilities were damaged. One person was injured.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in southcentral Ukraine, the Russian army attacked the Nikopol district. Kamikaze drones attacked the community of Myrove, and artillery attacked the community of Marhanets. Residential buildings, industrial enterprises, and a power line were damaged. Ukrainian air defence systems shot down one cruise missile and two Shaheds over the region. 

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, Ukrainian air defence destroyed eleven Russian UAVs. In addition, the Russians attacked the community of Ochakiv with mortars. The Stepivka community came under a rocket attack. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. There were no casualties. The Russian army also attacked the community of Kutsurub with artillery and UAVs. Fires broke out. There were no casualties. 

During the day, Russian troops fired 381 times at six settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, which has been partially occupied in the south since 2022. The Russians used artillery, UAVs and MLRS. There were no casualties. Residential buildings were damaged.

The Russian army fired 24 times at the border communities of the Sumy region in the north of Ukraine, bordering Russia. The Ukrainian military recorded 73 explosions. The communities of Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Esman, Svesa, Seredyna-Buda, Velyka Pysarivka, Chupakhivka and Znob-Novgorod came under fire from Russian mortars, drones and artillery.

During the day, Russian troops attacked the communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk in the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, with cannon artillery and mortars. Ukrainian border guards recorded 31 explosions. There was no information on damage or casualties.
