Since 2014, Russia has spent at least $300 million on the formation of pro-Russian interests abroad

The Washington Post reports about it.

In this way, Russia tried to strengthen specific parties and undermine democracy in certain countries, as explained by an official on condition of anonymity. According to him, the United States shared this data with the states against which such actions were directed.

Such intervention by the Russian Federation has been documented, in particular, in Montenegro, Albania, and Madagascar.
