Seven people were killed and 20 wounded in the Russian shelling over the past 24 hours

On the night of June 22, Russians targeted Ukrainian regions with 16 missiles of various types and 13 combat UAVs. Ukrainian air defence destroyed 25 air targets: 12 missiles and 13 drones. 

During the past day, Russian troops shelled the Izium, Kharkiv and Chuhuiv districts in the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine. A woman was killed and a man was wounded in Vovchansk. The Russians used MLRS, guided bombs and UAVs.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled the Pokrovske, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts. In Selydove, two people were killed and three others were wounded. Two people were killed in Toretsk and one more in Druzhba. Four people were wounded as a result of shelling in Toretsk, New York, Druzhba and Pivdenne. Residential buildings were damaged. 

The Russians hit a food warehouse in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region in southcentral Ukraine, with a missile. Two men were wounded. Another woman was injured as a result of the shelling of the Nikopol district with artillery and kamikaze drones. Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovsk communities were also under Russian fire. Civilian infrastructure was damaged. 

Russian troops shelled Antonivka, Kherson, Burhunka, Novooleksandrivka, Novovorontsovka and other towns in the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, which has been partially occupied since 2022. One person was killed and four others were injured. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.

The Russian army launched 384 attacks on 13 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022. One person was killed in the Polohiv district, four others were wounded in the Polohiv and Zaporizhzhia districts. Russia used aircraft, missiles, 146 UAVs, MLRS and artillery damaging residential buildings. 

In the Mykolaiv region in the south, the Russian army attacked the Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities with drones. Ukrainian air defence destroyed three Shahed 131/136 UAVs. There were no casualties. 

During the day, the Russian army attacked the border communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovske and Horodnianka in the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north. Ukrainian border guards recorded 52 explosions. There is no information on casualties. 

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russian army fired 27 times at the Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Esman, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda and Novoslobidka communities. Russians used UAVs, cannon artillery, MLRS, mortars and FPV drones. There were no civilian casualties.

The Russian army targeted civilian infrastructure in the Ivano-Frankivsk region in the southwest. Several blocks and buildings of an educational institution were destroyed, as well as some residential buildings. There were no casualties.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, west of the country, Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed three Russian targets. The places where the wreckage fell are being established. No information on casualties or damage has been received so far.

In the Lviv region, bordering Poland, the Russians launched a missile attack on a critical energy infrastructure facility. A fire broke out. There was no information on casualties. Within their area of responsibility, the soldiers of the West military group shot down 7 out of 10 enemy cruise missiles, some of them over the Lviv region.
