Russia's defense industry is critically weakening

The production of weapons and equipment in Russia does not meet the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Defence regarding resources for the war and replenishment of stocks.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom reported this in their intelligence update.

It is noted that on February 9, 2023, the Deputy Security Council Chairman of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, called for an increase in the production of tanks in Russia during a visit to the Omsk Transport Machine Construction Plant.

Intelligence sources note that this statement followed several public comments by Putin, who called on the defense industry to better support the war against Ukraine.
