Russia's big offensive is already underway, but it is going on in such a way that not everyone even sees it — Budanov
The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Russians have set a strategic goal to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions by March 31.
"This is what they dream of, but they won't be able to do it," said Budanov.
The head of intelligence also notes that the Russians lack armored vehicles.
"They no longer have BMPs and armored personnel carriers. All the equipment is removed from long-term storage, they have already removed more than 60%, and about 35% remains, which can be quickly restored. The production is not en masse, and it does not cover needs," says Kyrylo Budanov.
According to him, Russia is currently setting up mass production of artillery shells but manages to produce much fewer weapons than it uses. The intelligence chief noted that a small percentage of the total number remains.
"The number of missiles decreases with each attack. The intensity of shelling is decreasing. At first, there were massive rocket attacks every Monday, then once every eight days, and now — once every ten days, two weeks. They are reducing the number of missiles and increasing the time interval," Budanov said.
