Russians start fire at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant

The occupiers started a fire on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Enerhodar. As of the morning of August 12, the fire has stopped, and there is no detected radiation spike or danger of a nuclear leak.
Russians launched 357 attacks on the following localities in the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022: Lobkove, Pyatykhatky, Chervonodniprovka, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Poltavka, Orikhove, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka and Stepnohirsk. There were six reports of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed. No casualties were reported.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Vidrodzhenivske, Ivashky, Husarivka, and Oleksandrivka. The attack resulted in damage to three private houses and two apartment buildings, an agricultural enterprise, power lines and a gas pipe. One civilian was injured in the shelling.
In the Donetsk region, located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine and partially occupied since 2014, the Russian army shelled the cities of Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Novohrodivka, Pokrovsk, and the villages of New York, Hryshyne, Kostiantynivka, and Rivne. The shelling damaged 36 residential buildings, several companies, some infrastructure facilities, shops, petrol stations and cars. Ten people sustained injuries as a result of the shelling.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians fired 54 times at the Sumy, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Novoslobidka, Hlukhiv, Berezivka, Esman, Shalyhyne and Seredyna-Buda communities. A child sustained injuries in the shelling.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians launched attacks on 18 settlements, including Hremiach, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, Bleshnya, Lohy and Prohres. Border guards recorded 197 explosions that caused damage to houses and utility buildings.
No casualties were reported.
In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians fired on Dmytrivka, Ivanivka, the waters of the Ochakiv community and the Voznesensk district. Three private houses were damaged. No casualties were reported.
In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army targeted Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Chornobaiivka, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Pryozerne, Veletenske, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Sofiivka, Poniativka, Beryslav, Tomaryne, Dudchany, Mykhailivka and Kozatske. Damage was caused to educational institutions, a shop, a multi-storey building, 15 private houses, gas pipelines, warehouse facilities, lock-ups, private cars and public transport. The shelling killed one civilian and wounded 11 others.
Another person was injured in the morning Russian attack on Kherson. In addition, a resident of Antonivka, who was wounded in the shelling on August 11, was admitted to the hospital.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Russians attacked the Nikopol, Pokrovske, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Hrushivka communities. The attack damaged four private houses and power lines. No casualties were reported.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Nevske and Makiivka with 78 combat drones. No casualties were reported.
