Russians prepare to block personnel at ZNPP — Energoatom

National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom reported that the Russian military had already brought food and water to the plant.

They also noted that the Russians are likely to force the plant's personnel to stay after one of the next work shifts, forcibly blocking them at the plant. Zaporizhzhia NPP still has a shortage of professional nuclear engineers needed to operate the temporarily occupied plant.

The Russian military organised a similar event when they locked a shift's staff at the Chornobyl NPP at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

"Then the invaders did not let the plant's staff go home for about a month, holding people hostage until the de-occupation," the statement said.
