Russians looted Kherson Art Museum — the museum administration
For four days Russian military took things from the museum to the temporarily occupied Crimea, including a collection of works of art from the XVII-XX centuries.
"In their opinion, it’s called 'evacuation', and in ours, it’s looting under the slogans of 'cultural values preservation’," the message reads.
The collection of the Kherson Art Museum, named after Oleksii Shovkunenko, includes more than 10 thousand works of art, including paintings by Ivan Aivazovskyi, Mykola Pimonenko and Serhii Vasylkivskyi.
