Russians kidnap four employees of temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP
National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom reported this.
On the evening of April 6, masked Russians entered one of the premises of the NPP and took four employees of the plant's physical protection service to an unknown location.
Energoatom notes that all four employees were considered loyal to the temporary occupation "management" of ZNPP.
They all signed contracts with the so-called Zaporizhzhia NPP Operating Organisation. Among the detainees was the so-called "deputy head of the service" Mark Volkov, who facilitated the illegal activities of the Russians.
Energoatom also points out that the detainees did not have Russian passports, which is likely why they could have been kidnapped.
Zaporizhzhia NPP is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe and has been under Russian occupation since March 2022.
