Russians hit a civilian container ship flying the Panamanian flag in the Odesa region
On the night of October 10, Russians launched an attack on Ukraine with combat UAVs and missiles of various types. The Air Defence Forces reported the downing of 41 UAVs in the Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south-central Ukraine, the Russians shelled the Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrove, Pokrovske, Marhanets communities, and the Synelnykivskyi district. Two civilians received injuries. Infrastructure, industrial and transport enterprises, seven private houses, a five-storey building, five outbuildings, an agricultural company, a gas pipeline, power lines, trucks, cars and agricultural machinery sustained damage. A wooden warehouse burned down. A fire also broke out due to damage to a gas pipeline.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russian army shelled Lobkove, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Levadne, Tavriiske, Shcherbaky, Charivne, Kopani, and Orikhiv. During the day, the Russians launched 459 attacks in the region destroying and damaging 29 houses in Zaporizhzhia alone. Four civilians sustained injuries. Eight households were cut off from the gas supply.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russian army is shelling Hrekivka, Andriivka, Makiivka, and Balka Zhuravka.
In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, Russia targeted Mykolaiv, Ochakiv, and the Kutsurub community. An infrastructure facility, warehouses, five residential buildings, a power line, a gas pipeline, some outbuildings, a non-working preschool and three vehicles were damaged and a fire broke out. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, Russia assaulted Kharkiv, Zelenyi Hai, Kivsharivka, Slatyne, Kozacha Lopan, Rubizhne, and Kupiansk. Six civilians sustained injuries.The windows of 12-storey buildings were shattered. A car dealership, a shop, a pre-school, eight private houses and four cars were damaged. A private house was destroyed. A house and an outbuilding caught fire.
In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Komyshany, Stanislav, Novodmytrivka, Beryslav, Havrylivka, Mylove, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Novooleksandrivka, Shliakhove, Kachkarivka, Zolota Balka, and Lvove. One civilian was killed and 11 were injured. A utility company, an educational and medical institutions, an administrative building, a multi-storey building, six private houses, an outbuilding, a bus, and private cars were damaged.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the Mykolaivka, Khotin, Myropillia, Richky, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesa, Druzhba, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorod, Yunakivka, and Putivl communities. Three private households and a house of culture were damaged. During the day, 192 attacks on the region's territory were recorded.
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kurakhivka, Komyshuvakha, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Stupochky, Shakhtarske, Shchurove, and Yasna Poliana came under Russian attack. One civilian was wounded. Twenty-three residential buildings, an outbuilding, a tractor and a gas pipeline got damaged. Over the day, 2,691 attacks on the region were recorded.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled Hremiach, Buchky, Yanzhulivka, Halahanivka, Mkhy, Semenivka, Leonivka, Huta Studenetska, Yeline, Khrinivka, and Senkivka.
